Comeback Player of the Year（怪我などの離脱からカムバックを果たした選手）、Most Improved Player of the Year（最も進化した選手）、Star of Tomorrow（ニューカマー）などがあります。結果はこちら。
Hello everybody! Sorry I can't be with you tonight, but of course I wish I could have and played and been on court, but I'm doing my training and trying to get as strong as possible for next year to come back, so I can play again at World Tour Finals. I just wanted to thank all the fans who have voted for me for ATP Fans Favourite. This is probably the toughest year I've had on tour by far with the injuries and the only I think 7 to 10 tournaments that I was able to play this year, so this award THIS year means the most to me just because of the virtue of the tough year that I have. So thank you everybody to going out to vote for me. And also at the same time winning the Stephan Edburg Sportsmanship Award voted by the players, it's fantastic. I really appreciated. I try to be good sport on the court and then of course that players think I'm a good role model or good guy to play against, that's cool. That's really cool, but there's a lot of other good guys out there who do exactly the same if not better. So thank you to those guys as well. Then of course I'll be following the World Tour Finals on TV as close as possible, because I think it's one of the best tournaments we have on tour and I think it's going to be really really exciting. So I hope I see you next year. Thanks for all your support, thanks for all your votes and Take care. Bye.
I really wish you good health. I think it's really utmost importance, because I'm going through my first big injury now and I mean it's been fairly easy to me. I've enjoyed my time at home, I've enjoyed seeing my family, practice has been easy, but I don't know how it's going to be when I come back. And you've done it million times. There again I can be inspired by you how easily you always come back. You've made it look easy. I know it's not easy, but you made it look easy, right away always backing at top10, top5, even world no.1, so that's something I am going to be thinking about, when I come back to the tour in January. When we saw each other in India last year, I've heard of your academy and I knew that you were building something big in your home village and with your family and your friends and everybody's involved. I thought it's wonderful but I didn't know exactly what it was going to be like, and I told you, if you want me to come around, I'm very happy, because I was on vacation a month earlier with Mirka, my wife and I was talking to, what if I build an academy what would I wish for with my biggest rival, Rafa. I was wishing that he would take up a phone, call me up and says I come to your village, your academy and I play an extra with you or I'll do something for you. So I said well, okay, I don't have an academy so let me go to Rafa and offer my day. He's like ah, it's okay, don't worry about it, I'm fine, and I don't want to bother you and all that. Never heard anything from Rafa for months, so I was like okay I guess he is fine and all that. Then we did a video in Manacor and I reminded family and friends and the team It's still open I'm happy to come it's now I'm feeling like, I want to come, of course I want to come to see it, when he told me the building, 20plus courts and hotel and museum and everything and I was like my god this is such a huge undertaking that I really don't want to miss it in the world you know. So then finally I did get the call and he said why (don't) you please coming October, so I was like I'm ready. Now I have a plenty of time, so I'm super happy to be here and I just want to let you know. I hope that kids going to learn from this great man because he is one of the greatest we've ever had and his attitude speaks for itself, so thanks for the invitation. Rafa, I wish you all the best and I hope it's going to be a wonderful academy and one thing for sure I know where I'm going to send my kids, if they want to learn tennis. I'm going to send right here. Thank you.
Roger, I want to say my real feelings about what it means for me and for all of us that you are here today in Manacor, supporting this special moment, for me personally but I think at the same time for the village and for my team, for my family, for everybody from here and for the kids that are here for the first year. You know we shared a lot of moments in our career. I think (it's) a lot of very important moments for our tennis career, always with a good relationship, with good friendship, trying best on court. We fight, I think for the most important thing we can fight on a lot of tennis but at the same time always in a good way, and something that I believe that we should be very proud of, so just thank you very much for all the good thing that you did in tennis and for sure in this new time, things are never easy, so you are always showing the right images and right example for all the new generation of kids that are here... trying to become professional tennis players, most important thing, human person, so ... you helps for them a lot in the future. You told me if you need me any time in academy, please let me know. For me at that moment, I said it's okay I don't want to bother nobody that's the real thing. （For sure not you...crazy...） For me it means everything that you are here, so many thanks to you and Tony and all your team who makes possible for that.
Normal schedule as of now for 2017 is to play the Hopman Cup, Australian Open and Dubai. And then of course there's going to be a lot more things coming after that. But for the time being I think that needs to be the focus that I can return for those three tournaments in great shape. After that yeah, I have all of '17 pretty much mapped out. I know which tournaments I would like to play. '18, well, obiously that's too far away, after still see how the body is going to cope with all the matches again and all so forth, so that's why this preparation of these four, five months, six months I have right now is really key and I believe I can become super strong actually, because I never have six months usually only have a month here, sometimes 6 weeks, sometimes only three weeks, so I have a lot to work with right now and I hope to make myself so strong that yes, I have the best chance to play for many more years to come on tour.
Yes, very much so. I mean I think I'm just in a good place and I'm very much in peace, If I play or don't play, I'm very happy. Now all of a sudden I didn't play again for 9 days, so I have better start playing again. It's just at least for the shoulder and stuff. Then when I go hit for at the moment 20 minutes, 30 minutes. I'm just happy I'm playing. I'm having smile on my face. And I'll always play. Okay, at some point I will retire and I won't play on the tour anymore, but I'll always play for fun with my friends, doubles, singles, practice, down the road, so it will never go away for me. So I don't think I needed a realty check with an injury to really figure it out, but yes absolutely I'm still very motivated to go into the gym. I can't wait for my knee to be healed again completely and to return to the tour 2017. And yeah, I don't struggle with any motivational issues, you know that I'm going through tougher time. I look at these tougher times something super interesting and almost in some ways something fun that I have not actually gone through in my career and my life before, so let's try to figure this out and make the most of it. That's my approach to the situation today.
I could play the US Open or the Olympics, If I didn't care about what's going to happen after, maybe after tennis, because then maybe I have more and more problems with my knee. I might have to do another surgery, but I wanted to avoid that at all costs. So for me it was about staying healthy, looking at, sort of short time pain, long term gain, if you like, looking forward to hopefully playing for a few more years, because that was the goal. I'm looking forward to playing few more years and if that's the goal, then this is the only right decision. It's not only that I'm missing the Open andthe Olympics, but it's also Cincinnati and Shanghai and Basel and Paris and World Tour Finals, all these tournaments I have missed, for many many years it's some of my favorite tournaments of the season, usually always to back end of the season where I play my best and my favorite tournaments to play, so it hurts a lot and the decision wasn't made easily butonce health came first, surprisingly enough, actually it was quite simple. And the pain is somewhat manageable I must tell you.
